site is still under construction 10/23
After 30 years of construction work, as a new plumbing installer, these old bones just couldnt handle that hard physical labor any longer.
When i was off work injured, coincidentally is when my brother in law chris bought a unique products cue companion lathe to get into cue repairs as a hobby and a sideline.
One thing led to another as i was helping chris and when i decided to try and make myself a cue from an old brunswick purpleheart house cue I was hooked on pursuing building cues.
Dennis Dieckman, a well known butterfly cue builder contacted me out the blue one day.
We spoke for hours, resulting in me visiting Dennis' shop and becoming one of his many students.
After six or seven trips to Dennis' shop for a week or so at a time, working with him, watching, learning, listening and having a great time, I realized what i wanted to do for the rest of my life.

dennis stopped at my place on the way home from a cue show
one of my most embarrasing moments
5 more minutes and dennis' kitchen would have been up in flames
